The Serial/Parallel peripheral boards combine 16C550 high speed UARTs (with FIFO) and a bi-directional parallel port for users requiring additional peripherals. PC compatible serial and parallel ports provide additional I/O necessary for many demanding applications.

(Serial/Parallel Peripheral Kit for LogicFlex 99-0032) includes the Serial/Parallel board, 2 board 40 pin bus cable, standoff kit, and manual.

The optional (Serial Parallel A/D Upgrade Kit 99-0033) adds 8 channels of 12-bit A/D to the Serial/Parallel board. The A/D option is based on the Maxim MAX197 chip which features software-selectable input ranges of +/-10V, +/-5, 0V to 10V, and 0V to 5V.
