Derived from the highly successful µFlashTCP, embedded x86 single board computer, the µFlashPlus and µFlashTCP-EP single-board controllers are ready-to-use platforms ideal for bridging existing equipment to Ethernet networks.

The µFlashPlus (84-0040) is the board level version of the µFlashTCP-EP controller, but does not include the rugged enclosure package.

Providing a practical solution for designs requiring TCP/IP connectivity, the µFlashTCP-EP and the µFlashPlus controllers pack a 386 based microcontroller with DOS, Ethernet and PC compatible serial ports into a compact form factor as a board level model or a packaged, stand alone solution.

The powerful Intel 386Ex microprocessor and DOS operating system allow design and debugging in a familiar environment, while industry standard connectors allow direct connection to 10BASE-T (NE2000 compatible) Ethernet networks. Additional features include a watchdog timer, on board voltage regulator, 10 digital I/O lines, RS-485 serial port capability and status LEDS. Optional memory expansion of 512K SRAM, 512K Flash, M-Systems DiskOnChip or a battery backed clock calendar with 128K SRAM is available using the 32 Pin Dip socket.

The standard µFlashTCP-EP packaged single board computer is both FCC and CE certified.

The µFlashTCP-EP Development Kit (99-0041) is available for development of either the µFlashTCP-EP or µFlashPlus single board computers and includes µFlashTCP-EP controller, Programming Cable, Ethernet Cable, 110 VAC Adapter, Setup Guide, Schematic, and CD with Borland C/C++ V4.52 Compiler, utilities, sample programs and documentation. (220Vin Development Kit 99-0042 available.) Also included is the TCP/IP stack and webserver (including source code), and PPP software that can be compiled with the Borland C/C++ package.

Optional Configuration:

For accessibility to the I/O lines of the µFlashTCP-EP the I/O BreakOut upgrade provides 10 I/O lines with ground via wire terminals through the front faceplate. This option can be purchased as a peripheral kit (99-0048) or as a complete µFlashTCP-EP I/O BreakOut assembly (89-0047).
