Designed for applications requiring multiple embedded ethernet connections, the Dual-E adds to JK microsystems industry proven line of cost-effective, DOS based embedded SBC's. Ideal for many applications, the Dual-E can serve as a bridge between separate Ethernet networks, function as a miniature firewall / router, or provide network connectivity to existing equipment.

Driven by the solid Intel 386Ex microprocessor, the Dual-E single board computer is equipped with two 10BASE-T Ethernet controllers and onboard RJ45 connectors for direct connection to Ethernet networks. The serial ports, counter/timers, and the interrupt controller are all fully compatible with the IBM PC at both the hardware and software levels. With additional features such as the watchdog timer, RS-485 serial port capability, hardware clock/calendar, and flexible storage options, the Dual-E single board controller covers many design requirements.

The Dual-E SBC is coupled with the USNET^® TCP/IP stack, from US Software. USNET's compact footprint and high performance target embedded applications - enhancing anything from digital consumer products to industrial controls. The associated libraries, documentation and tools are included with all Dual-E development kits. This system provides an integrated hardware and software solution ready for embedded development for an exceptionally low cost.

The Dual-E Development Kit (99-0065) includes a Dual-E single-board computer, Programming Cable, Connector Kit, Ethernet Cables, 110V AC Adapter, Setup Guide, Schematic and CD with Borland C/C++ V4.52 Compiler, utilities, sample programs and documentation.
